Things I love…’Don’t talk nonsense’

Post yoga practice chocolate

Here’s a rundown of a few things I’m loving this month…

‘Do hard work and don’t talk nonsense’ Sharath has been in New York teaching this month and I found this blog post about some fantastic advice he gave in one of his after practice chats.  He says ‘Do hard work and don’t talk nonsense’.  Simple and to the point.  Love it.  He has some great advice for headstand too.  Find the full blog post here by Frances Cole Jones

Harry’s rehabilitation from surgery Some of you already know that Harry had a varicose vein removed a few weeks ago and is now in recovery from surgery. He’s blogging about what he’s doing to optimise his health and prepare his body for his rehabilitation which will start in a  few weeks. Check it out here.

Making my own chocolate One of our regular yogi’s Max (November yogi of the month) always brings along delicious treats to class and last week he made some yummy cacao chocolate. So I got super inspired and made my own too. Here’s the recipe I used.  So yummy (needless to say it’s all gone!)

Demand Adventure – Tara Caetano’s new ebook Just released, this exciting new e-book by the gorgeous Tara (who comes to my classes) is a wonderfully inspiring read about getting out of your comfort zone and living a life of adventure.  I particularly loved the exercise on page seven where Tara asks us to journal “What in your life does not cultivate, align with or complement the sense of adventure you are seeking?” Great question!  Sign up and get the e-book here.

Global Mala  In it’s fifth year here in Townsville, Globla Mala is celebrating International Peace day this Sunday 21st September.  Join the Townsville yoga community for 108 Sun Salutations, or 108 minutes of meditation or making paper cranes. Or you can just sit and enjoy the atmosphere! I’ll be saluting the sun while Harry and Elsie sit and soak up the vibes. More info here and buy tickets before the day here.
